Lamborghini Sián – The Electrified Bull

Overview

The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 was unveiled in 2019 as Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar and one of its most limited and exclusive creations. It combined Lamborghini’s legendary V12 engine with futuristic supercapacitor hybrid technology, pointing to the brand’s electrified future while paying homage to its past.

Only 63 coupes and 19 roadsters were made (a nod to Lamborghini’s founding year, 1963). The “FKP 37” designation honored Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the visionary Volkswagen Group chairman who played a key role in Lamborghini’s modern success.

Engine & Performance

  • Engine: 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 (from the Aventador SVJ)

  • Electric System: 48V mild-hybrid with a supercapacitor (instead of a lithium-ion battery)

The supercapacitor is three times more powerful than a battery of the same weight and allows instant energy discharge and recharge, giving the Sián sharper acceleration and smoother gearshifts.

Design & Styling

  • Exterior inspired by Countach heritage (hexagonal elements, sharp edges, Y-shaped lights).

  • Extremely aggressive rear wing integrated into the body.

  • Futuristic Y-shaped headlights and taillights.

  • Aerodynamics are fully integrated into the design — even the cooling vanes are active aero flaps made of smart materials that react to heat.

  • Available in bespoke colors and trims through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program.

Interior & Features

  • Driver-focused cockpit with digital displays, premium leather, and forged carbon fiber.

  • Each car is individually customized for its owner.

  • Hybrid system is designed not for fuel savings, but for performance boost and responsiveness.

Legacy
